Ohr Ami offers members of the Jewish community the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of bikkur holim (visiting the sick) as hospice volunteers.
Hospice volunteers are caring, compassionate individuals with open hearts and minds who are willing to share their particular skills and experiences while delivering a unique service to a very special group of people.
We are currently seeking who are willing to share a few hours a week with our patients. We have many patients who are waiting for some special person to talk with them, read to them or just sit and hold their hand.

Ohr Ami welcomes the opportunity to coordinate with congregational groups in providing support to patients and families who are affiliated with a particular synagogue.
